The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has forecasted Bangladesh’s economic growth at 6.1% in the 2014-15 fiscal year.
IMF Deputy Division Chief for the Asia and Pacific department Rodrigo Cubero came up with the prediction at a press conference at the Finance Ministry on Tuesday afternoon.
“We are seeing that the economic growth to be 6.1% depending on political stability in the country," said Cubero.
He said Bangladesh’s economy has been affected due to the prolonged political unrest.
