Inflation fell to 6.97% in June, the final month of just concluded fiscal year, as compared to the previous month.
It was marginally down from government’s fiscal target of 7% for fiscal year 2013-14.
Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal disclosed the data at meet the press programme at the NEC auditorium on Thursday afternoon.
In May, inflation was 7.48 %, 0.51% higher point than June, according to Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) data.
