Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu Monday said Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) would be expanded for its employment generation.
He said this while inaugurating a "BSCIC Baishakh Fair" as the chief guest at Bangla Academy premises in the city.
BSCIC and Bangla Academy jointly organized the 10-day long fair aimed at expanding BSCIC products among the buyers.
Chaired by BSCIC Chairman Shyam Shundar Sunker, the programme was also addressed, among others, by cultural affairs secretary Dr Ranjit Kumar Biswas and director general of Bangla Academy Shamsuzzaman Khan as special guests.
The minister also expected that visitors will be interested to choose the quality products and manufacturers in the fair.
