The Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Thursday announced a Tk18.76bn budget for the 2013-14 fiscal year (FY).
The budget has increased by Tk 6.37bn from the FY 2012-13 budget, which was Tk12.38bn.
This year the budget will be financed largely by an expected Tk11.89bn in development assistance from the government, private sectors, public private partnerships and foreign finance.
The DSCC expects to raise Tk5.58bn from taxes.
Tk2.88bn of the DSCC’s budget has been allocated to revenue, and TK15.60bn for development.
Md Nozmul Islam, the administrator of the DSCC, announced the budget at the corporation’s auditorium at the noon.
