Finance Minister AMA Muhith on Saturday said that the budget outline for the next fiscal year has been revised to between Tk400,008-9cr, while the focus for development will be on human resources.
“Implementation should be smooth in the next fiscal year as there have been no hartals in the country,” said the finance minister at a pre-budget meeting with leaders of Economic Reporters Forum (ERF) at the Finance Ministry Auditorium.

Muhith added that the government had endeavoured to make the best possible budget for the next fiscal year, as it will last until the general elections in 2018.
The finance minister will announce the 2017-2018 budget at the July 1 session of the National Parliament.
The revenue target for the next fiscal year has been set at Tk271,260cr, which is 28.86% higher than the current revised target of Tk210,500cr.
The amount of loans is estimated to be Tk48,960 crore.
