One of the country's leading supermarket chain Meena Bazar will now allow a franchise model to maintain its quality with the investment of others.
From now on, anyone can become a partner of Meena Bazar by following the rules and regulations.
The new model was unveiled on Sunday with the signing of the first franchise at the head office of Meena Bazar in the capital.
Meena Bazar officials said that as the Covid-19 pandemic was on the decline, a new and ongoing franchise model initiative has been taken to open Meena Bazaar outlets in many more areas across the country.
The first Meena Bazaar in this model will be set up at Shanir Akhra in the capital.
Engineer Abdul Mannan was the first franchisee to ink a deal with the supermarket chain.
After the signing, Meena Bazar CEO Shaheen Khan told Dhaka Tribune: "After Covid-19, we are going to take such initiatives across the country. Countrywide expansion is something Meena Bazar will do with its own funds, similarly with its franchise partners as well.”
"I urge those who are interested, now can easily invest in Meena Bazar to be its partner," he added.
