Biman Bangladesh Airlines will be offering a 20% discount on six international routes to boost tourism.
The promotional offer will be available during the three-day international tourism fair dubbed "Dhaka Travel Mart (DTM) 2017" that begins March 30 at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel.
The fair will be open to visitors from 10am to 8pm.
The discount will be applied on economy class seats for six international routes as part of an effort to make travel more affordable for tourists.
The six routes are Dhaka-Bangkok-Dhaka, Dhaka-Singapore-Dhaka, Dhaka-Yangon-Dhaka, Dhaka-Kuala Lumpur-Dhaka, Dhaka-Kolkata-Dhaka and Dhaka-Kathmandu-Dhaka. Biman will also be offering a 7% discount on other routes.

After taking 20% off, the net return fare on the above routes will be TK21,854, TK35,550, TK22,469, TK25,542, TK11,694 and TK15,235 respectively. The tickets will be on sale at the DTM fair.
National tourism organisation BTB, airlines, tour operators, hotels, resorts, financial institutions and others working in the travel and tourism sector will showcase their products and services at 68 stalls and five pavilions during the DTM fair.
Regarding the period covered by the deal, a Biman spokesperson said: "The outbound journey must commence within 180 days from the date of buying the ticket."

Visitors will also get a chance to win Biman tickets at the fair by entering their entry ticket at a raffle draw.
Biman officials said the national carrier has been concentrating on bringing more variations to its services. As part its ongoing efforts, Biman on March 26, Independence Day, introduced new meals and entertainment packages for business class passengers on the Dhaka-London-Dhaka route.
