Midland Bank PLC. (MDB) has transformed its Banani branch into a full-fledged Islami banking branch, aiming to broaden access to Shariah-compliant banking services.
Imtiaz U Ahmed, managing director of Midland Bank PLC, officially inaugurated the Banani Islami banking branch along with members of the bank's Shariah supervisory committee: Mufti Muhammad Abu Sayeed Khan (chairman), Abu Yousuf Md. Nesar Uddin (member), and Muhammad Shahjahan Madani (member).
The Banani Islami banking branch is located at Nilufar Heights, B-52 (1st Floor), Kamal Ataturk Avenue, Banani, Dhaka.
The inauguration ceremony saw the presence of Md Zahid Hossain, deputy managing director & CRO; Md Nazmul Huda Sarkar, deputy managing director & CTO, customers and other senior officials of the bank.
The Banani Islami banking branch will provide a comprehensive suite of Shariah-compliant deposit, investment, and other modern banking services to both individual and corporate clients.
Midland Bank's Islami Banking operations adhere strictly to Shariah principles, guided by its Shariah supervisory committee and in compliance with all relevant Bangladesh Bank guidelines.
