Islami Bank has launched a month-long “Cyber Security Awareness” campaign.
M Kamal Uddin Jasim, managing director (current charge) of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC, inaugurated the campaign as the chief guest at a ceremony held at Islami Bank Tower on September 30, Wednesday.
Mohammad Rezaul Karim, executive vice president, presided over the event, while SM Mizanur Rahman, senior vice president, delivered the welcome address.
Deputy managing directors of the bank Md Rafiqul Islam, Muhammad Sayeed Ullah, Md Maksudur Rahman, Abu Sayed Md. Idris, and Md Gakir Hossain along with senior executives and officials of the bank were present at the event.
All heads of zones, heads of branches and in-charges of sub-branches also participated in the event through a virtual platform.
In his speech as chief guest, M Kamal Uddin Jasim said: “Alongside the use and importance of information technology, the importance of cyber security has also increased. Ensuring customers’ trust, data privacy and security is one of our most important responsibilities. To ensure cyber security, not only the institution but also every employee must play an aware and responsible role.”
