United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB) and BYD Bangladesh have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to make vehicle financing easier and more convenient for customers.
Under this partnership, customers will get special financing benefits when purchasing BYD vehicles.
The MoU was signed at the corporate head office of BYD Bangladesh.
The signing ceremony was attended by Mohammad Shafiqur Rahman, DMD & head of retail business division; SM Moinul Hossain, SEVP & head of CRMD (Retail & SME); Masudur Rahman Sonnamot, EVP & head of Dhaka Metro Region; and Ahmed Masudul Goni, EVP & head of product, representing United Commercial Bank PLC.
Representing BYD Bangladesh were Amid Sakif Khan, managing director; Ferdows Ur Rahman, chief financial officer; Methun Bhattacharjee, head of business development; and Fahmid Ferdous (Pulak), Head of Sales.
Under the partnership, customers who purchase BYD vehicles from BYD Bangladesh will be able to get UCB Auto Loans at attractive interest rates, along with special financing benefits.
At the same time, UCB Auto Loan customers will receive special offers and preferential facilities on selected BYD vehicles.
They will also benefit from faster loan processing and disbursement.
The partnership will also provide opportunities for customers to apply for UCB credit cards and access a range of other Retail Banking products and services.
Currently, BYD Bangladesh has eight branches in Dhaka, Chittagong, and Bogra.
Four more branches are expected to open soon, expanding its presence and making its services more accessible to customers across the country.
The partnership is an important step toward strengthening cooperation between the banking and automobile sectors.
It will also help make vehicle financing more accessible, convenient and faster for customers.
