Islami Bank signs refinancing agreement of Tk3,000cr with Bangladesh Bank

Islami Bank signed a Tk3,000 crore refinancing agreement with Bangladesh Bank.

The primary objective of this scheme is to build an effective and dynamic agriculture value chain by boosting agricultural production, preservation, processing, marketing, supply chain development and rural employment generation.

In the presence of Md Kabir Ahamed, deputy governor, Arief Hossain Khan, spokesperson & executive director of Bangladesh Bank, AKM Saiduzzaman, director of Bangladesh Bank's Agricultural Credit Department-2, and Abu Sayeed Md Idris, senior executive vice president & head of retail investment wing of Islami Bank exchanged the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions on Monday, August 31, at the agreement signing ceremony held at Bangladesh Bank's head office.

Zoynal Abedin and Sakhawat Hossain, additional directors of Bangladesh Bank, Mohammad Aman Ullah, head of Islami Bank's Agricultural Investment Division, along with executives and officials from both organizations were present on the occasion.
