SBAC Bank PLC has participated Bangladesh Bank’s Tk3,000 crore refinance scheme to support the development of an agriculture-based economic hub in the northern region of the country.
The scheme aims to increase agricultural production and expand the storage, transportation, marketing and processing of agricultural products, as well as promote agriculture-based CMSMEs and agricultural exports.
In the presence of Md Kabir Ahmed, deputy governor of Bangladesh Bank; Abdul Quaium Chowdhury, managing director (current charge) of SBAC Bank, and AKM Saiduzzaman, director of the Agricultural Credit Department-2 of Bangladesh Bank, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations at the Jahangir Alam Conference Room of Bangladesh Bank on Monday.
Arief Hossain Khan, spokesperson and executive director of Bangladesh Bank, Jahangir Alam, head of credit risk management division and EVP of SBAC Bank, and senior officials from both institutions were also present at the event.
