Mercantile Bank PLC has officially commenced its Foundation Training Course for the 15th batch of newly recruited Management Trainee Officers (MTOs) at its Training Institute (MBTI) on August 19.
A total of 50 MTOs are participating in this comprehensive training program designed to shape the next generation of banking leaders.
Mati Ul Hasan, managing director of the bank, graced the inaugural ceremony as chief guest.
The event was chaired by SM Salim Uddin, head of training & development, while Md Zakir Hossain, DMD & CRO; Shamim Ahmed, DMD & CAMLCO; Md Zahid Hossain, DMD & CBO; and Shah Md Sohel Khurshid, DMD & CCO were present as special guests.
The ceremony commenced with a welcome address by Shahin Akther, faculty of MBTI, and was moderated by faculty Muhammad Miaraz Hossen Gazi.
In the chief guest’s address, he emphasized the critical role of professionalism, integrity, and adaptability in today’s rapidly evolving financial environment.
He urged the trainees to cultivate a customer-centric mindset, actively engage in continuous learning, and apply their acquired knowledge practically to drive the future growth of the bank.
The extensive training curriculum is strategically structured to equip the new officers with essential competencies required for a successful banking career.
