Prime Bank PLC has collaborated with the Blind Education and Rehabilitation Development Program (Berdo), a non-governmental organization dedicated to the education and rehabilitation of visually impaired individuals, to promote accessibility and financial inclusion through the distribution of Braille learning materials.
As part of the initiative, recently the bank distributed 40 Braille books among visually impaired students to support their educational journey and reinforce its commitment to creating an inclusive society where everyone has equal opportunities to learn, grow and participate in the formal financial and banking system.
The distribution ceremony was attended by MM Mahbub Hasan, senior vice president and head of financial inclusion & school banking of Prime Bank PLC, and Md Saidul Huq, founder and executive director of Berdo.
Speaking on the occasion, MM Mahbub Hasan said that Prime Bank remains committed to advancing financial inclusion by ensuring that persons with disabilities are empowered through accessible banking services, financial literacy and educational support.
He noted that meaningful inclusion can only be achieved when every individual is given the opportunity to participate in the country's economic development.
Md Saidul Huq thanked Prime Bank for its support and appreciated the Bank's efforts in promoting inclusive education and financial empowerment for visually impaired students.
He emphasized that partnerships between financial institutions and social organizations play a vital role in building a more equitable and financially inclusive society.
The initiative reflects Prime Bank's continued commitment to empowering underserved communities and expanding access to education and financial services through impactful partnerships across Bangladesh.
