Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) will serve as the sole banking partner to implement and operate the digitized holding tax collection system of the Chittagong City Corporation.
Shahadat Hossain, mayor of Chittagong City Corporation, and Ahmed Shaheen, additional managing director of EBL, signed a MoU to this effect in Chittagong recently.
The system will make the tax payment more efficient, transparent, and convenient for citizens.
Senior officials from both organizations were present.
