Prime Bank holds agri credit disbursement, training in Dinajpur

The event aimed to facilitate easy access to credit and strengthen farmers’ capacity in maize cultivation, a key crop in the region

Reinforcing its commitment to financial inclusion and agricultural development, Prime Bank held an open agri credit disbursement and training program in Birol, Dinajpur, engaging 150 farmers, including both existing borrowers and potential clients from nearby areas.

The event aimed to facilitate easy access to credit and strengthen farmers’ capacity in maize cultivation, a key crop in the region.

The session featured expert training by Mustafizur Rahman Shah, senior scientific officer at the Bangladesh Wheat and Maize Research Institute (BWMRI).

Distinguished guests included UNO Ishteak Ahmed, Upazila Agriculture Officer Mostafa Hasan Imam, and Prime Bank’s senior leadership: DMD – Consumer Banking M Nazeem A Choudhury; Head of Agri Business Shahana Pervin and Head of North Region Md. Abdul Halim.

Nazeem A Choudhury remarked: “This initiative reflects our commitment to empowering rural communities through access to finance and knowledge, helping farmers increase productivity and improve their livelihoods.”
