Azam Khan has joined Saman Group as chief operating officer (COO) with effect from March 1, 2025.
Before joining Saman Group, he was serving with Mutual Trust Bank PLC since 2016 including the position of head of communications and member of management committee (Mancom), the Sustainable Finance Committee (SFC), Executive Risk Management Committee (ERMC), and the General Secretary of MTB Club.
Saman Group’s businesses consist of lubricants, agro & food, work terminal (co-working space), e-commerce, properties, and communications.
Khan started his professional career as Assistant Publication Officer with Voluntary Health Services Society (VHSS) in 1988.
Later he joined Caritas Bangladesh as Public Relations Officer in 1993.
He also served with Standard Bank PLC as Public Relations Officer, Dutch Bangla Bank PLC as Public Relations Officer, Dhaka Bank PLC as Head of PR, First Security Islami Bank PLC as Head of Marketing & Development and Head of Public Relations.
