Community Bank Bangladesh PLC has contributed Tk30 lakh to the Chief Adviser's Relief and Welfare Fund to stand by the flood affected people under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) program.
On Tuesday, Faruk-e-Azam, Bir Pratik, Adviser for the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief of the Interim Government of Bangladesh, received a pay order of Tk30 lakh from Md Hasnat Khan Rezvi, member of the sustainable finance unit of Community Bank, and Dedarul Karim of the marketing department.
Disaster Management and Relief Secretary Md Kamrul Hasan was also present.
In addition to this, the employees of Community Bank Bangladesh PLC already contributed a fund equivalent to their one day's salary to the Chief Adviser's Relief and Welfare Fund.
