Eminent business person and social worker Monzurur Rahman has been re-elected as chairman of the board of directors of Pubali Bank PLC for two years.
He was re-elected as chairman unanimously in its 1,436th board meeting.
Rahman is chairman of Rema Tea Company Ltd.
He has 57 years’ experience in banking, insurance and tea business.
He was an independent director of Lafarge Holcim Bangladesh Ltd.
He was an elected member of the executive committee of Bangladesh Association of Publicly Listed Companies (BAPLC).
Rahman is a graduate from Calcutta University. He was born in Kazibari at Cheora village of Comilla.
His father Late Khan Bahadur Mukhlesur Rahman was a law graduate from Calcutta University in 1916 and a successful tea planter.
