Global Islami Bank has been conferred with the Bronze Award by ICSB (Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh) in the 10th ICSB National Award for Corporate Governance Excellence, 2022 under "Islami Banking Companies" category.
The companies were judged in terms of ensuring corporate governance, overall management of their team, transparency, accountability and ensuring compliance of the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission's (BSEC) Corporate Governance Code.
Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi MP was present on the prize giving ceremony virtually.
Kazi Mashiur Rahman Jayhad, additional managing director of the bank, received the award on behalf of the bank at Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden.
Sami Karim, deputy managing director, Imtiaz Ahmed Siddiqui, head of marketing and Md. Manjur Hossain, company secretary, were also present on the occasion.
