Bank Asia inks deal with Bangladesh Bank for long term financing facility

Bank Asia will be able to borrow funds from BB to finance compliance initiatives of export-oriented small, medium and large manufacturers

Bank Asia Limited has signed a ‘Participatory Agreement’ with Bangladesh Bank under Bangladesh Bank - Long Term Financing Facility (BB-LTFF) program of Financial Sector Support and Strategic Planning Department (FSSSPD) for private sector firms, particularly for export-oriented manufacturing industries.

In presence of Nurun Nahar, deputy governor of Bangladesh Bank, Shafiuzzaman, president & managing director (CC) of Bank Asia, and Liza Fahmida, director (Financial Sector Support and Strategic Planning Department) of Bangladesh Bank, exchanged the signed agreement on behalf of their respective organizations on Tuesday.

Md. Abul Bashar, executive director, Debdulal Roy, Executive Director (ICT), AKM Kamruzzaman, Director (Forex Reserve & Treasury Management Department), Md. Abul Bashar, Director (Accounts and Budgeting Department) with other high officials of Bangladesh Bank were also present on the occasion, held at Jahangir Alam Conference Hall of the Central Bank in Dhaka.

Under this agreement, Bank Asia will be able to borrow funds from the Central Bank to finance the compliance initiatives of the export oriented manufacturing (small, medium and large) customers.
