Mutual Trust Bank (MTB) Limited will intensify their integration of fintech with various mobile financial services, online transactions, debit and credit cards, and other technology-based services to provide better services for their customers.
“MTB's own mobile banking app is one of the best in the country. We have already signed agreements with Grameenphone, Robi and bKash for providing mobile financial services. In addition, we are planning to expand the scope of various types of technology dependent customer service, as MTB believes that fintech is the future,” said Syed Mahbubur Rahman, managing director and chief executive officer of MTB.
He made the remarks during a press briefing on the occasion of the bank's 22nd founding anniversary on Sunday at its head office in the capital.
The occasion was also celebrated at MTB Tower, different MTB branches, and sub-branches throughout the country.
MTB previously began a week-long celebration of its 22nd founding anniversary by organizing numerous events to ensure the participation of its customers, stakeholders, and employees.
During the occasion, MTB Foundation presented its ninth “Bravery & Courage Award” to Late Syed Shah Alam, a local cyclone preparedness program (CPP) leader who died during cyclone Amphan.
In addition, MTB also organized a CMSME stimulus loan distribution ceremony and merchant recognition program.
They also held an art competition titled "Aparup Bangladesh" for the children of MTB personnel.
Apart from that, MTB arranged several other events, such as a health check up in association with United Hospital for its employees and staff, as well as offering week-long discount deals for customers with eight real estate companies, five automobile companies, and two merchants.
Among others, Chowdhury Akhtar Asif, additional managing director & group chief risk officer; Goutam Prosad Das, deputy managing director & head of group ICC and Tarek Reaz Khan, deputy managing director & chief operating officer (COO) were present during the press meet.
