Both international debit and prepaid cards can now be used for online payments of visa processing fees, the Bangladesh Bank said on Wednesday to facilitate smooth transactions
In this regard, authorized dealers (ADs) may issue international cards in the name of official designated by nominated agents, said the central bank in a notice on the day.
The central bank also asked ADs to report such foreign exchange transactions to its foreign exchange operation department as well.
Visa processing fees, among others, collected through nominated resident agents of foreign embassies can be remitted abroad to the bank accounts designated by embassies or their home offices.
