Sonali Bank Limited on Monday locked down its Shilpa Bhaban corporate branch in the capital’s Dilkusha area after an official of the bank tested coronavirus positive.
A press release of Sonali, signed by Rezaul Karim Bhuiyan, deputy general manager of the bank, confirmed the case and immediate measure to limit the spread of the virus.
The bank authorities requested the clients of the branch to receive emergency services from its nearby Dilkusha corporate branch until further notice, he added.
Recently, another state-owned bank, Agrani Bank, locked down its principal branch on April 8 after a branch official was found to be infected with COVID-19.
