Bangladesh Bank (BB) has asked branches concerned of all scheduled banks open on Saturday (June 29), the second last day of the outgoing 2018-19 fiscal year.
A circular signed on Thursday by the central bank's deputy general manager Md Serazul Islam was sent to the chief executives of all scheduled banks.
The central bank has taken the decision to help taxpayers to submit their income tax, VAT, and custom duties—easing the government exchequer’s revenue collection.
