Bangladesh Bank (BB) has asked all banks to keep their branches open on Saturday, June 30—the last day of the outgoing fiscal year 2017-18.
A circular signed by BB Deputy Manager M Sirazul Islam on Wednesday, was sent to the chief executives of all scheduled banks.
The central bank has taken the decision to helptaxpayers tosubmit their income tax, VAT, and custom duties—easing the government exchequer’s revenue collection.
