Kamran T Rahman, president, Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), received Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Imran Haider at the MCCI head office Monday.
The two sides discussed developing institutional linkages of MCCI with regional chambers of commerce and industry in Pakistan, organizing Business-to-Business meetings and reciprocal participation in exhibitions.
They also discussed avenues to enhance bilateral trade across various sectors including pharmaceuticals, fresh fruits and vegetables, jute, surgical goods and ceramics.
The leadership of MCCI appreciated Pakistan’s significant growth in the Information and Communication Technology sector and explored possible collaboration in this sphere.
The High Commissioner invited the president and members of MCCI to attend Pakistan's premier food and agricultural exhibition; FoodAg 2026, scheduled on 23-26 November, 2026 in Karachi.
