3-day Int’l Security and Safety Expo 2026 begins in Dhaka

The exhibition is jointly organized by I-Station Limited, a technology products and services company, and the Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS)

The International Security Expo and Occupational Safety, Health & Fire Expo-2026 has once again begun in Dhaka, bringing together domestic manufacturers, suppliers and importers of security and safety products, entrepreneurs and businesses from the software and cybersecurity sectors, and representatives of leading international technology companies to foster business relations and partnerships.

The three-day International Security Expo and Occupational Safety, Health & Fire Expo-2026 was formally inaugurated on Thursday (September 17) at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital.

The event is being held for the second time.

The exhibition is jointly organized by I-Station Limited, a technology products and services company, and the Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS), the trade association of ICT businesses in Bangladesh.

The event will continue until Saturday, September 19.

Speaking as chief guest, managing director of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority Md Fazlur Rahman said: “Such international events will help strengthen our national security system. This is not merely a technology showcase; it is also an effective platform for raising awareness about security and safety, building networks and increasing public-private partnerships. The government is committed to establishing close partnerships with the international security industry in the areas of electronic and cybersecurity in Bangladesh. We all need to work together to build a safe and prosperous Bangladesh.”

At the inauguration ceremony, secretary general of the Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) Mohammed Monirul Islam delivered the welcome address: “With the rapid digitalization and industrialization of the country, security, workplace safety and preparedness for emergencies must also be strengthened. Security is no longer limited to protecting buildings or physical assets. The safety of people, information, digital systems, businesses and critical infrastructure is also an integral part of security.”

Managing director of I-Station Limited Madhu Sudan Saha said: “The latest technologies and products for security and safety management will be showcased at this international exhibition. The use of smart and connected technologies in the management of various organizations and infrastructures is rapidly increasing. In this context, the exhibition will provide organizations and businesses with an opportunity to learn about modern security technologies and strengthen and improve the effectiveness of their security systems. At the same time, the concurrently held Occupational Safety, Health & Fire Expo 2026 will showcase various modern solutions for industrial and workplace safety.”

The event was chaired by Vice President of the Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) Md Wahedul Hasan Dipu.

He said: “The importance of security and workplace safety is increasing alongside Bangladesh’s rapid digitalization, industrialization and urbanization. Security is no longer confined to protecting buildings and physical assets; digital security, information, networks, critical infrastructure, businesses and people are also integral parts of security.”

Among the other distinguished guests who addressed the event were chairperson of Oshi Foundation Saki Rezwana and deputy director (Dhaka) of Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defence Md Saleh Uddin. 

Also present as distinguished guests were BCS joint secretary general Md Ahsanul Islam Naushad, treasurer Abul Hasan, director Md Iqbal Hossain, members of BCS, leaders of various ICT organizations, and technology business representatives from different countries.

Around 150 leading security companies and brands from 10 countries, along with more than 500 security and safety professionals, are participating in the three-day event.

Visitors to the exhibition will have the opportunity to see the latest technologies and innovations firsthand and learn about changing trends in the security and safety sector.
