Bangladesh Endocrine Society (BES) organized “Highlights from ADA 2026” Wednesday at the Grand Ballroom of Pan Pacific Sonargaon, Dhaka.
The daylong scientific program brought together leading endocrinology and diabetes specialists to discuss selected contemporary developments and clinical perspectives from the field.
The program featured five scientific sessions covering a broad range of important topics, including pre-diabetes and diabetes risk prediction, insulin resistance, diabetes technology, diabetes in pregnancy, nutrition, weight management, hypertriglyceridemia, and emerging obesity therapies.
The scientific discussions also addressed diabetic neuropathy, diabetic kidney disease and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), while the final session explored diabetes management across the cancer continuum and Type 5 Diabetes in South Asia.
Eminent endocrinologists from home & abroad shared the latest evidence and guideline-based insights through scientific presentations at the event.
Distinguished speakers included Dr Scott D. Isaacs, adjunct instructor, Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta, Georgia, US & immediate past president, AACE (2025), Dr Faria Afsana, president, Bangladesh Endocrine Society (BES); Dr Shahjada Selim, president-elect, BES; and Dr M Saifuddin, general secretary, BES, along with other renowned experts and speakers.
