In an atmospheric creative session hosted in the city of Udaipur, five contemporary artists—Mim, Kajori, Shilpi, Israt, and Farin—assembled to execute a collaborative campaign on the theme "Fragmented Reality."
The retreat served as an artistic precursor and creative incubator for a major upcoming joint exhibition scheduled for November 2026.
The core concept behind Fragmented Reality interrogates the rapidly changing nature of human experience, where the figurative canvas of daily life alters from moment to moment.
In this framework, the surface ceases to act merely as a passive standard canvas; instead, it evolves into a fractured plane, a sudden patch of light, or a temporal space where paint almost dries before touching the linen.
"When the brush meets the linen, it ceases to be just pigment—it transforms into a memory of moments gathered from ages past, or perhaps a captured frame on a muted screen by the riverside during a quiet afternoon. A single drop of linseed oil on the palette sets off a chiming story across the room."
During the Udaipur session, the artists engaged in simultaneous paint application, palette exploration, and conceptual dialogue.
Set against the serene riverside backdrop, the atmosphere resonated with the subtle interplay of light, liquid, and texture, establishing the expressive groundwork for their upcoming exhibition.
