Bangladesh national football team captain Jamal Bhuyan has officially joined Nagad as its brand ambassador.
To this end, a formal signing ceremony for the agreement took place at the Sheraton Dhaka Hotel on Tuesday (August 31), initiating a strategic partnership to boost financial inclusion among youth and sports enthusiasts nationwide.
Jamal Bhuyan signed the agreement in the presence of Nagad Administrator Md Motasem Billah.
Under the partnership, which spans a six-month tenure, Jamal Bhuyan will feature in various promotional campaigns and customer engagement initiatives, driving financial inclusion through the lens of sports and digital empowerment.
Expressing his enthusiasm about the partnership, Jamal Bhuyan said: “I have worked with Nagad before and had a great experience. Today, I feel delighted and honored to sign as the brand ambassador. Nagad’s latest campaign was centered around the World Cup and was a remarkable success. Overall, it is encouraging to see Nagad doing something good for the country,” he said.
Jamal Bhuyan also said that Nagad has revolutionized digital transactions in Bangladesh through continuous innovation and customer-centric services. The various campaigns and rewards Nagad regularly offers to its customers have further strengthened its connection with a wider customer base.
Welcoming the national captain, Nagad Administrator Md Motasem Billah said: “Many, many congratulations and a warm welcome to Jamal Bhuyan to the Nagad family. We have been trying to build a strong relationship with Bangladeshi footballers. It is not just Jamal Bhuyan; going forward, we hope to bring more star players into the Nagad family. Nagad will stand alongside sports and sportspersons at every level in Bangladesh,” he said.
The ceremony was attended by senior associate administrator Syed Himyanuddin Ahmed, associate administrator Anwar Ullah, chief commercial officer Shahin Sarwar Bhuiyan, chief financial officer Afzal Ahmed, and head of marketing HUM Mehedi Sajjad, alongside senior company officials.
