Shukhee, Bangladesh's leading digital healthcare platform under Grameen HealthTech Limited, on Monday announced a new initiative offering free mental health counselling to North South University (NSU) students, faculty, and staff, accessible round the clock using their NSU-registered mobile number.

Through this initiative, the entire NSU community can now connect with qualified counselors and psychologists via Shukhee's Instant Psychologist service at complete free of cost anytime, day or night.

Through this initiative, Shukhee has partnered with the NSU Counselling & Wellbeing Centre, making mental health services more accessible to the NSU community via virtual support.

Dr Armaan Ahmed Siddiqui, CEO Grameen HealthTech said: “Seeking support for your mental health should never come with fear of judgment or concerns about privacy. At Shukhee, we believe every conversation deserves compassion, confidentiality, and respect.”

Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, VC, NSU said: "This service is designed to make professional support easy to reach and completely confidential, so that no student ever has to face a difficult moment alone."

Through this service, Shukhee's Virtual Mental Wellness Support will integrate with NSU's Counselling & Wellbeing Centre's existing mental health support system, further expanding the scope of mental healthcare available to students and members of the NSU community.

Under this initiative, students, faculty, and staff using an NSU-registered mobile number will be able to receive free tele-mental health counselling from qualified counselors and psychologists through Shukhee's Instant Psychologist service, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

As a result, professional support will be available at the moment it is needed to address various mental and emotional challenges, including stress, anxiety, loneliness, relationship issues, and academic or workplace pressure.

NSU students and users with an NSU-registered number can access this service free of charge, 24/7.

Users can book an appointment for a 30–45 minute counselling session at a time that is convenient for them.

Every session is 100% confidential, ensuring that conversations remain strictly between the user and the counselor.
