Nestlé Bangladesh PLC showcased the outcome of its pioneering collaboration with the Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR) at the Ficci FDI Conference 2026 – Driving Foreign Investment for Jobs and Prosperity in Bangladesh, held at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre in Dhaka on July 23.

This partnership reflects a shared commitment to advancing nutrition and supporting Bangladesh’s long-term human capital development.

The collaboration resulted in Pushtigrow+, a locally developed cereal-based micronutrient fortifier for children aged five and above.

Co-created by Nestlé Bangladesh and BCSIR, it enriches daily home-cooked meals with probiotics, iron, zinc, and essential vitamins, helping improve everyday nutrition at scale.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, along with senior dignitaries visited the Nestlé Bangladesh pavilion and commended this innovative micronutrient solution.

Samina Ahmed, chairman, BCSIR, said: “By combining BCSIR’s scientific capabilities with Nestlé’s global nutrition expertise, we are strengthening Bangladesh’s innovation ecosystem. This collaboration shows how public-private partnerships can create lasting value for the nation.”

Commenting on this collaboration, Deepal Abeywickrema, chairman & managing director, Nestlé Bangladesh PLC, said: “Our collaboration with BCSIR reflects our commitment to addressing micronutrient deficiencies through affordable, everyday nutrition solutions.”

He added: “We remain dedicated to supporting Bangladesh’s economic and social development through continued investment in sustainable and inclusive growth.”

As Bangladesh continues its journey towards inclusive and sustainable growth, Nestlé Bangladesh remains committed to partnering with national institutions to deliver innovative, science-based solutions that improve quality of life, strengthen human capital, and create long-term shared value for communities across the country.
