Electro Mart Group, that manufactures Konka, Gree and Haiko electronics products in Bangladesh, won two recognitions at the SDG Brand Champion Awards 2026.
Fifty-nine sustainable brand initiatives were recognized for the contributions to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in Bangladesh at the "SDG Brand Champion Awards 2026", held at the Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel in Dhaka recently.
Electro Mart’s first award was special contribution in achieving UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This award is given for special contribution to United Nations SDGs through manufacturing, marketing and after sales services of electronics products in Bangladesh.
Electro Mart Group has been conducting every activity in Bangladesh to fight poverty, inequality, employment, climate and environmental protection and achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Electro Mart also implants sustainability across its production and product life cycle by adopting green technologies, renewable energy, responsible materials, and eco-friendly design principles, aligning its manufacturing processes with multiple SDGs, notably SDG- 7, 8, 9, 12, and 13.
Electro Mart Limited aligns its initiatives with five United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Their manufacturing plant has generated over 7,000 direct and 10,000 indirect jobs while increasing contributions to government revenue through duties, value-added tax (VAT), and corporate taxes.
The company stated that its local manufacturing model, supported by technology transfers from China's Gree and Konka brands, aims to lower local electricity usage and reduce environmental waste through the production of energy-efficient home appliances.
Konka and Gree brand electronics & home appliances products started its journey in Bangladesh through Electro Mart Group.
Through technology sharing with China, the group is now manufacturing and marketing eco-friendly and latest technology enriched electronics and home appliance products to the Bangladeshi customer.
Konka, Gree and Haiko brands of electronics and home appliance products are now the first choice of consumers worldwide due to their unique features, quality, acceptability, after-sales services and affordable prices.
Konka has several home appliance products including refrigerators, freezers, LED TVs, washing machines, microwave ovens, mixer grinders, electric kettles, gas stoves, infrared cookers, pressure cookers, rice cookers, electric irons.
Gree has ceiling, wall, cassette, VRF, ducted & chiller air conditioners, portable ACs, air purifiers, dehumidifiers, air coolers, air circulator fans and air curtains.
