Bangladesh and Nepal have embarked on a new chapter of collaboration as they officially come together under the newly realigned District 41 of Toastmasters International for the 2026–27 Toastmasters year.
The district comprises 96 Toastmasters clubs across the two countries, including 32 active clubs in Bangladesh, creating a stronger platform for leadership development, learning, and cross-border collaboration.
Leading District 41 this year is Md Golam Dastagir Jony, DTM of Bangladesh, who has assumed office as district director, the highest volunteer leadership position within the district.
Supporting him in the District Trio are Diptee Acharya, DTM of Nepal as program quality director and Ankit Goenka of Nepal as club growth director.
The district leadership also includes several distinguished leaders from Bangladesh: Nusrat Huda, DTM as district administration manager, Mohammad Zahid Hossain, DTM as district parliamentarian, Jamal Uddin Jamy, DTM as associate program quality director, Syed Shahariath Hussain and Md Abual Kalam Azad as associate club growth directors, Nazmul Haque Nafis as associate public relations manager, and Mohammad Yeasin Ali, DTM and Md Shek Sadi as division directors.
Together with fellow district leaders from Nepal, they will support clubs and members across District 41 throughout the Toastmasters year.
Speaking on the significance of the realignment, district director Md Golam Dastagir Jony, DTM said: "The coming together of Bangladesh and Nepal under District 41 is more than an administrative realignment—it is an opportunity to learn from each other, celebrate our diversity, and work together towards a common goal of empowering individuals through communication and leadership.
