The general assembly of JCI Dhaka East was held on June 28 with the participation of the chapter's general members.
The assembly concluded the constitutional affairs of the organization and elected the new board of directors for the 2026 term.
Salma Akter Hira was elected and officially sworn in as local president of JCI Dhaka East for 2026, marking a significant milestone as she becomes the first woman to lead the chapter after a long interval.
The newly elected board of directors comprises local president Salma Akter Hira, executive vice president Anisur Rahman Rajib, general legal counsel Ashik Elahi Majumdar, vice presidents Rainul Islam and Ahmed Imtiaz Samad, secretary general Isha Khan, treasurer Md Mehedy Hasan Shuvo, and local directors Omar Faruk and Md Jubair Hossian.
The event was attended by distinguished national board officials of JCI Bangladesh, senators, past national presidents, past local presidents, local presidents from various local organizations, members, and invited guests, reflecting the spirit of unity, leadership, and fellowship within the organization.
In her inaugural address, local president Salma Akter Hira expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the members for their trust and confidence.
She reaffirmed her commitment to strengthening JCI Dhaka East through impactful leadership, member development, community engagement, and meaningful opportunities for young leaders.
