Edotco Bangladesh announced the appointment of Al Batuni Mohammad Sayed Ahmed as country managing director, strengthening its commitment to local leadership and digital infrastructure growth as Bangladesh continues its journey toward a more digitally connected future.
With over 20 years of expertise in telecommunications and digital services, Al Batuni brings deep industry knowledge and a strong strategic vision to lead Edotco Bangladesh’s continued expansion and innovation in the telecom sector.
Prior to this role, Al Batuni contributed nearly 17 years at Ericsson in senior leadership positions, focusing on network transformation and digital modernization.
Most recently, he served as director of strategy and transformation at Edotco Bangladesh, driving operational excellence and long-term growth initiatives.
Al Batuni succeeds Sunil Issac, under whose leadership Edotco Bangladesh significantly strengthened its market presence and nationwide infrastructure footprint.
Edotco Bangladesh currently manages close to 17,000 towers and supports over 28,000 tenancies, playing a vital role in advancing connectivity across the country.
