BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) organized a farewell festival on June 25, to bid farewell to the students of Batch 222.
The daylong event, titled “BUFT 222’r Itibritto”, was attended by faculty members, students, distinguished guests, and representatives from the industry.
The entire campus was transformed into a festive venue through a series of vibrant activities, including a flash mob, cultural dance performances, a color festival, guest speeches, fashion and cultural shows, a qawwali performance, and a live concert by the popular band Avoid Rafa.
The chief guest of the event was State Minister for Cultural Affairsli Newaz Mahmud Khaiyam, MP.
The program was presided over by Faruque Hassan, chairman of the board of trustees of BUFT and former president of the BGMEA.
Representatives from One Composite Limited and Urmi Group were in attendance.
Special guest at the event was Prof Engr Ayub Nabi Khan, vice-chancellor (designated) of BUFT.
The farewell festival was convened by Prof Md Abdul Jalil, director of student welfare, and Mohammad Imtiaj, director of public relations.
Serving as member secretaries were Sakhawat Hossain, deputy director of the student welfare department, and Rakibul Islam Shifat, lecturer.
