A small act fulfills thousands of wishes

This Ramadan, Robi decided to contribute with small good deeds, proving that even the smallest of acts can fulfill thousands of wishes

Ramadan in Bangladesh changes the rhythm of everyday life. Mornings begin earlier, evenings slow down, and people become more mindful of those around them. It is a month that reminds us to look beyond ourselves and think about others.

This year, Robi chose to celebrate Ramadan in a different way. Instead of creating a traditional advertisement, Robi turned that effort into real actions that could help people in need.

The campaign, ছোট্ট একটা কাজে হাজারো ইচ্ছেপূরণ, was built on a simple idea: sometimes a small act, done at the right moment, can make a big difference in someone’s life. And it can inspire to create a chain of good deeds which ultimately brings greater positive impact to society.

Across different parts of Bangladesh, Robi worked with partners to bring these small acts to life.

In Dhaka and Chattogram, Robi distributed dates and water to commuters who were stuck in traffic just minutes before Iftar. For many people who were fasting after a long day of work, this small gesture helped them break their fast with relief.

Robi also supported Bhalo Kaajer Hotel, where rickshaw pullers, construction workers, and elderly residents could sit down and enjoy Iftar without worrying about the cost. For them, it was more than a meal, it was a moment of dignity and care.

At Bangladesh Thalassemia Foundation Hospital in Dhaka, children who spend much of their time receiving treatment were given a small play zone. With toys and games around them, the hospital space suddenly felt brighter and more joyful.

In Chandpur, orphan children received new clothes and gifts before Eid. For children who do not have families to celebrate with, this simple gesture helped make Eid feel special again.

And in Muraichara tea estate in Sylhet, Robi supported a small school run by a dedicated volunteer teacher, Sagar Tirkey. The school received books, school bags, sports equipment, a Smart TV, and internet connection, helping students continue their learning in a better environment.

Each of these acts was simple. But together, they reached people who truly needed support.

Robi did not try to create something flashy. Instead, the focus was on helping in places where help was needed the most. The goal was not attention, but impact.

And that impact continues.

The children at the school in Muraichara now can see dreams to fulfil. Children at the Thalassemia Foundation can now enjoy some moments of fun in the midst of struggle. The kindness shared at Bhalo Kaajer Hotel gets multiplied by inspiring thousands others. And the children in Chandpur find reasons to celebrate and feel that they are not some lonely souls in this world.

Sometimes, a small act can stay with people long after the moment has passed.

That is the spirit behind ছোট্ট একটা কাজে হাজারো ইচ্ছেপূরণ।

Small acts, done with care, can reach thousands of lives.
