Bata Bangladesh recently launched its largest franchise store at the CSD Tower, Dhaka Cantonment reaching a new milestone in its retail journey.
This addition marks an important step in Bata’s efforts to make its global footwear presence stronger in Bangladesh.
The opening ceremony was jointly inaugurated by Faria Yasmin, managing director of Bata Bangladesh, and Brigadier General Md Mozammel Hossain, managing director of the Canteen Stores Department (CSD).
The event was also attended by senior representatives from both organizations, including Arfanul Hoque, retail director; Malik Kabir, head of HR; Nusrat Hasan, head of marketing; and Shahjahan Sunny, head of franchise from Bata Bangladesh, alongside Maj. Mir Ikhtiar Uddin Ahmed, head of CSD central plan & procurement; Lt. Col. Md. Asif Abdur Rauf, head of shops operation; Maj. Md. Shakhawat Hossain Khan (retd.), chief financial officer, marketing & customer relationship; and Md Shamsujjaman, senior manager, CSD.
Their presence underscored the strong strategic collaboration between the two organizations and reflected a shared commitment to delivering quality service and enhanced customer satisfaction.
The newly opened Bata outlet spans approximately 1,500 square feet.
It is located within the CSD Tower, Dhaka Cantonment which is a government-run retail facility operating under the Ministry of Defence.
CSD plays a vital role in ensuring access to essential goods at subsidized prices, with a strong emphasis on quality and affordability. Its primary objective is to support the welfare of defence personnel by supplying daily necessities in a reliable and regulated retail environment.
Through its presence at CSD Tower, Bata aims to provide convenient access to a wide range of footwear for eligible CSD customers.
