MTB, PKSF sign agreement under CES

Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB) has recently signed an agreement with Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) under the Annual Guarantee Limit of the Credit Enhancement Scheme (CES). 

This initiative aims to strengthen credit risk mitigation support for financial institutions, thereby facilitating greater access to finance for microenterprises and underserved sectors across the country.

Syed Mahbubur Rahman, managing director and CEO of MTB, and Md Fazlul Kader, managing director of PKSF, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions.

The signing ceremony was graced by Dr Ahsan H Mansur, governor of Bangladesh Bank, as the chief guest. 

Special guests included Hoe Yun Jeong, country director of the Bangladesh Resident Mission, Asian Development Bank (ADB), and Nazma Mobarek, secretary of the Financial Institutions Division, Ministry of Finance, Government of Bangladesh. 

Zakir Ahmed Khan, chairman of PKSF, chaired the event.

This partnership marks a significant step towards inclusive economic growth and MTB’s ongoing commitment to fostering sustainable development through strategic collaborations.
