Brig Gen Abu Sayed Al Masud, director general of the Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC), paid an official visit to the Green University of Bangladesh.
He arrived at the university’s Purbachal American City campus on Saturday at 11am.
Upon his arrival, he was warmly received by the university’s Registrar, Captain (BN) Sheikh Mohammad Salahuddin (retd).
A guard of honour was also presented in his recognition on behalf of the GUB BNCC Unit.
During the visit, Brig Gen Abu Sayed Al Masud held an interactive session with the cadets of the university’s BNCC unit.
Addressing the young cadets, he encouraged them to focus on self-development and patriotism and to grow into capable and ethical future leaders.
He stated: “You are not just students, you are the promising assets of this nation. With confidence and discipline, you must lead the country forward.”
University Registrar Captain (BN) Sheikh Mohammad Salahuddin (retd) also addressed the gathering. He remarked: “BNCC is not merely an organization; it is a training ground of values where students learn how to lead and contribute to the nation. We are proud that the students of Green University are getting this opportunity.”
Later, the BNCC director general met with Prof Dr Mohammad Shorif Uddin, vice-chancellor of Green University, and Prof Dr Khawza Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed, pro-vice chancellor.
GUB Treasurer Prof Dr Md Fayzur Rahman, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering Prof Dr Md Saiful Azad, and Lieutenant Commander Faisal Bin Rashid, officer-in-charge of the BNCC Naval Wing, along with other faculty members and administrative officials, were also present during the meeting.
At the conclusion of the visit, both parties exchanged crests as a token of goodwill and discussed the possibilities of future collaboration and joint initiatives.
