Safius Sami Alamgir, managing director of Tampaco Foils Limited, received the award for Excellence in Industrial Leadership and Innovation.
The award was presented at a star hotel in the Dhaka on Saturday.
Arthakantha Business Excellence Award 2025 was organized by NRB World and Business America Magazine to mark the 25th anniversary of Weekly Arthakantha.
Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser of the Interim Government of Bangladesh, Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology, was present as the chief guest.
Alamgir’s contributions have been recognized previously with the prestigious "FBCCI Business Excellence Award" at the Bangladesh Business Summit 2023.
He was also awarded the "Highest Income Taxpayer" by the National Board of Revenue (NBR) in 2014 and 2017.
Beyond his professional and social roles, he is a Guest Lecturer at the University of Dhaka and Daffodil International University.
Alamgir is actively involved in various community and cultural initiatives.
He co-founded Dhaka Storytellers, an organization that leverages art and storytelling for social impact.
In response to devastating floods in year’s 2024 August, Dhaka Storytellers organized an art exhibition where the entire proceeds were donated to the Chief Advisor’s Relief and Welfare Fund for disaster relief and rehabilitation.
