The formal inauguration of the first solo art exhibition by soil scientist Prof Alamgir Hai began on Saturday at Gallery no 5 of the National Art Gallery, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
The opening ceremony was graced by special guests writer, stage artist, and playwright Khairul Alam Sabuj, and Captain (retd) Abdus Sabur Khan, Chairman of Apsonin Pharma Ltd.
The chief coordinator of the event was Professor Khaleda Akhtar, and the session was presided over by eminent artist Abdul Mannan.
The session chair, renowned artist Abdul Mannan, officially inaugurated the event at 5pm.
Various distinguished guests were also present at the event.
This solo exhibition will run from April 12 to April 18. The exhibition will remain open to all daily from 11am to 8pm, and on Fridays and Saturdays from 3pm to 8pm.
Through this exhibition, 83-year-old amateur artist Professor Alamgir Hai made his debut as a painter.
