World Kidney Day was celebrated at Labaid Specialized Hospital under the theme Detect Early, Protect Kidneys.
On this occasion, a seminar was organized at Labaid Hospital, sponsored by Labaid Pharmaceuticals.
Renowned professors from various hospitals in the country were present.
Prof Dr Mohammad Rafiqul Alam was present at the event as the chief guest, while Prof Dr Ashia Khanam attended as the special guest.
The session was chaired by Dr Abduz Zaher. The panel of experts included Dr Md Moniruzzaman and Dr ASM Zulfikar Helal.
At the seminar, Dr Md Moniruzzaman presented a paper on the causes, symptoms, and remedies of kidney diseases, while Dr ASM Zulfikar Helal presented a paper on kidney disease and infertility.
Brig Gen (retd) Prof Dr Subhash Chandra Roy conducted the program.
Ahmed Dawood, chief executive officer of Labaid Hospital, thanked everyone at the end of the event. Senior officials, including the head of Operations of Labaid Hospital, Iftekhar Ahmed, were also present at the event.
Earlier in the morning, a colorful rally was organized.
The rally began at Labaid Specialized Hospital, proceeded through Green Road and Mirpur Road, and concluded in front of Labaid Cardiac Hospital.
