The election of the executive committee of Narsingdi Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the period 2024-2026 was held on December 21, 2024.
Rashedul Hasan Rintu was appointed as president by the Narsingdi Chamber of Commerce as there was no other candidate for the post.
Those who have submitted nomination papers for the post of the executive committee of the Chamber in the election and whose nomination papers have been validated, are declared elected by the Election Board without unfair competition under Rule 17 of the Trade Organizations Rules, 1994.
Rintu is former director of Narsingdi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, president of Chowala Textile Crafts Owners Association, proprietor of Manchester Composites and also proprietor of Arham Malti Trading.
He is a distinguished industrialist and social worker. After being elected as the president of Narsingdi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he said in his immediate response that due to various discriminations in the past, he could not play his desired role in the development of the Chamber.
So, this year's election is very important for him and an opportunity to work for all levels of businessmen of Narsingdi district.
He said that the business community of Narsingdi has elected him to the post of president with the aim of fulfilling the promise that he will try hard.
He sought the cooperation of all in the development of Narsingdi Chamber and in solving the problems of traders and fulfilling the duties assigned to him.
