Six leading knitwear manufacturers from Bangladesh signed cooperation agreements with Ningbo Cixing Co during Tuesday's Cixing Bangladesh Night Products Promotion Meeting.
The manufacturers are BSKL, Knit Asia, Bettex, Nexus, Twelve Tex, and Sweatertech Ltd.
Ningbo Cixing Co, one of the major suppliers of Bangladeshi sweaters and knitwear manufacturers, showcased innovative machines for Bangladesh's knitwear sector.
Ningbo Cixing, a global leader in knitting machinery and technology, hosted the event at a hotel in the capital on Tuesday.
The supplier also demonstrated cutting-edge products and technology, highlighting the potential to drive innovation in Bangladesh’s knitting industry, and solidify new and enduring partnerships with both current and future clients.
Tuhin, managing director of Cixing Bangladesh Ltd, said they are bringing cutting-edge technology to Bangladesh.
“We are conducting a B2B business model with the country's manufacturers. We are ready to hear any suggestions from our Bangladeshi counterparts, and we will do everything for them,” he added.
Frank Sun, chairman of Ningbo Cixing Group, emphasized Cixing’s commitment to advancing innovation within the knitting industry.
“As the world’s leading provider of intelligent knitting equipment and digital knitting factory solutions, we continue to invest heavily in research and development,” he added.
In recent years, the company's R&D expenditure has averaged over $12 million annually, ensuring sustainable growth and global market expansion.
He also mentioned Cixing’s growing presence in the market, saying that in 2023, they sold nearly 30,000 units, and the company expects that number to rise to 40,000 globally this year.
“Cixing’s global market share now stands at almost 30%, with around 300,000 units in operation worldwide. Bangladesh, as a key manufacturing hub, has always been a focus for our company. We believe our partnership can lead to transformative changes in Bangladesh’s textile sector, enhancing competitiveness, creating more job opportunities, and contributing to the country’s economic development,” he added.
He said that Cixing reaffirms its dedication to driving innovation and excellence in knitwear production, signalling the start of a new era of collaboration and progress for Bangladesh’s textile industry.
In the event, they also launched and showcased the latest products of their sub-brand “Steiger,” which will bring infinite solutions and potential in the innovation, automation, and sustainability of the knitwear sector.
According to company officials, Cixing Bangladesh started its journey in 2011, aiming to improve the technical level of knitting machinery, promote the development of knitting technology processing, and realize the intelligent upgrade of the knitting industry.
Currently, they have over 100 clients and more than 20,000 operational machines.
The officials said the company has 116 invention patents, 288 utility model patents, 13 design patents, and 56 software copyrights.
BGMEA Fashion Technology University, a leading fashion institution in Bangladesh, also participated in discussions to develop high-end talent for the knitting sector.
The evening also featured a striking fashion show showcasing the latest creations from Cixing’s sweater design team.
