Bangladesh’s rapidly growing tech ecosystem gained fresh momentum on October 31 at Pathao’s headquarters, where Pathao Presents Product Pulse, Powered by Shikho brought together some of the industry’s leading voices to discuss a pressing question: How can Bangladesh’s tech talent thrive on a global stage?
The event’s popularity was clear, with over 1,000 tech professionals applying for an exclusive opportunity.
Of these, 110 selected attendees from more than 40 top companies—including Optimizely, Pathao, Brain Station 23, SELISE Digital Platforms, Banglalink, ShareTrip, bKash, Shikho, and Chaldal—gathered for an afternoon of insights and networking.
They came to hear from leaders across Bangladesh’s tech sector, who shared expertise on breaking into tech, adapting to industry changes, and pursuing growth within both local and international markets.
The panel featured voices in tech: Ahmed Fahad, product leader from the founding team of Pathao; Ishmam Ahmed Chowdhury, VP of operations at Shikho; Sabbir Siddiqui, director of engineering at Optimizely; and Shifat Adnan, co-founder and CTO of Pathao.
Combining entrepreneurial experience with technical expertise, each shared practical insights on career-building—from essential entry-level skills to navigating the challenges unique to startups and established companies.
Attendees walked away with actionable strategies for growth, whether aiming to lead in Bangladesh or pursue opportunities abroad.
Product Pulse also devoted time to networking, providing space for engineering, design, and product management professionals to connect and exchange ideas.
The networking session buzzed with energy as participants forged connections and discussed potential collaborations that could help shape Bangladesh’s tech future.
Pathao and Shikho expressed their gratitude for the overwhelming interest, acknowledging the growing demand for resources and events to support Bangladesh’s thriving tech community.
“Product Pulse is more than a one-time event,” said Shahir Chowdhury, founder and CEO of Shikho.
“We aim to build an ongoing platform for connection, knowledge-sharing, and inspiration, empowering Bangladesh’s next generation of tech leaders.”
The program's host Ahmed Fahad shared his enthusiasm by saying: “Seeing so many passionate designers, engineers, founders, and product people come together was incredibly exciting - it shows the strength and potential of our tech community here."
