Fresh Anonna Sanitary Napkin celebrates Pink Day

October globally recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, also known as Pink October

Update : 27 Oct 2024, 06:55 PM

Breast cancer is one of the deadliest diseases. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), approximately 19 women in Bangladesh die from breast cancer every day, totalling nearly 7,000 deaths annually. Yet, awareness can play a vital role in reducing this grim statistic, as early detection significantly increases the chances of recovery.

October is globally recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, also known as Pink October. The central goal is to raise awareness of breast cancer and ensure timely prevention.

Fresh Anonna Sanitary Napkin has been actively involved in breast cancer awareness and detection initiatives nationwide for several years.

As part of the ongoing commitment, on Sunday, MGI employees observed Pink Day by wearing pink t-shirts and sharing photos with a dedicated caption on Facebook and other social media platforms.

In association with Bangladesh Cancer Society Hospital, Fresh Anonna Sanitary Napkin offers free breast check-ups this October, which has already seen widespread participation. Additionally, to educate the public on breast cancer, Fresh Anonna has launched a dedicated website (www.freshanonna.com), where comprehensive information on breast cancer is made accessible.

Once again, this year, top executives from some of Bangladesh's leading organizations showed solidarity with the campaign by wearing pink T-shirts at their workplaces and sharing their photos on social media.

MGI remains committed to continuing its awareness and outreach initiatives to eliminate misconceptions surrounding breast cancer and to make a lasting impact on society.
