Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB) was honored with the "Most Innovative Women Empowerment Initiatives - Banking - Bangladesh 2024" award by Women's Tabloid, recognizing its impactful and innovative woman empowerment project, "MTB Swonirvor Angona.", under the bank’s flagship Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.
This flagship initiative was launched to empower underprivileged women through skill development, financial literacy, microfinance, and digital banking solutions.
A standout feature is the Graphic Design Course, organized in partnership with Creative IT Institute, benefiting a significant numbers of women by providing them with practical digital skills and opening doors to new career opportunities.
The program also includes mentoring and entrepreneurial support to promote long-term financial independence.
Besides, the Financial Literacy and Inclusion Program targets 250 women from marginalized communities, including farmers, micro-entrepreneurs, and students.
By fostering financial literacy through workshops and instant account opening via MTB’s E-KYC platform, the program integrates women into the formal financial system, reducing reliance on informal channels.
